Cornwall and District Real Estate Board: April 2026 market report (corrected)

The Cornwall and District Real Estate Board reported 252 home sales through the MLS® System in April 2026, down 16.8% from April 2025. The average price of homes sold was $553,372, up 6.3% from April 2025.

The same board publication reported 685 new residential listings in April 2026 and 1,209 active residential listings at the end of April, up 28.3% from the end of April 2025. Months of inventory were 4.8, compared with 3.1 at the end of April 2025. The average sold price is a different measure from an MLS® Home Price Index benchmark price.

These figures cover the board's MLS® reporting population for April 2026. The board's publication for this month does not report an MLS® Home Price Index benchmark price, so no benchmark price, benchmark change or forecast is given here.

Correction: an earlier version of this report included a benchmark price and a year-over-year benchmark change taken from the Prince Edward Island MLS® Home Price Index series, which does not describe the Cornwall and District Real Estate Board market.
