Market Analysis

The number of homes sold through the MLS® System of the Renfrew County Real Estate Board totaled 162 units in July 2026. This decreased by 3% (five sales) from July 2025. Home sales were 8.3% above the five-year average and 6.8% below the 10-year average for the month of July. On a year-to-date basis, home sales totaled 950 units over the first seven months of the year, a modest decline of 1.7% from the same period in 2025. In the prior month, June 2026, total sales were 191 units. The average price of homes sold in July 2026 was $484,231, down by 3.9% from July 2025. The year-to-date average price was $494,687, a minor increase of 1.9% from the first seven months of 2025. The dollar value of all home sales in July 2026 was $78.4 million, decreasing 6.8% from the same month in 2025.

The number of new listings rose by 27.1% from July 2025, with 281 new residential listings in July 2026. This was the largest number of new listings added in the month of July in more than five years, according to the Renfrew County Real Estate Board. Months of inventory numbered 4.2 at the end of July 2026, up from the 3.4 months recorded at the end of July 2025 and above the long-run average of 3.7 months for this time of year.
