“Norfolk County’s market turned a corner in June, with the number of home sales marking an impressive 17.3 per cent increase over May and an 11.8 per cent increase over the same period last year. While the average sale price was down from last year, the more reliable MLS® Home Price Index (HPI) posted a 2.1 per cent increase month-over-month and a more moderate 2.7 per cent decrease year-over-year. Norfolk County was the only market area within our jurisdiction to post a monthly HPI increase,” said Bill Duce, CEO of Cornerstone. “Also unique to Norfolk is the increase in new listings coming to market, which has caused another spike in the months’ supply. Buyers and sellers will benefit from a local REALTOR® who can help you make an informed decision and navigate Norfolk’s distinct market dynamics.”
